Anonymous: Can’t blame him. Suffering under Chelsea’s bizarre ownership for a massive payoff by February, and reputation intact because everyone now knows what managing Chelsea under Boehly is like. Kerching.
Pat, Exeter: If gaining promotion from the Championship to the Premier League is all it takes to be a successful manager then Steve Bruce would be a shoo-in for the Chelsea job.

Arsenal and Liverpool tracking Croatia youth international Lovro Chelfi

Simon Jones, Mail Sport, transfer update:

Arsenal and Liverpool are tracking Croatia youth international Lovro Chelfi.
The 17-year-old plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for NK Kustosijaand has been followed by Borussia Dortmund for the past two seasons. Highly skillful, Chelfi is predominantly left-footed and often plays as an inverted winger cutting in from the right, similar to Bukayo Saka at Arsenal.
Kustosija are developing a reputation for developing and selling on young players out of Croatia. Chelfi joined them from Dinamo Zagreb's academy and has been impressing for their U19s and in tournaments for Croatia. Dortmund are expected to make an offer this summer but Arsenal and Liverpool are keeping a check on developments.

'There’s a desire to make it happen on all sides'

An update on Chelsea's potential appointment of Enzo Maresca from Kieran Gill, Mail Sport:

As of last night when I checked in with various reps, Chelsea’s deal to hire Enzo Maresca was still being finalised, including the compensation due to Leicester for his five-strong backroom staff. One of those in line to join Maresca at Stamford Bridge is former Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero, of course. But it’s all expected to be a formality.
There’s a desire to make it happen on all sides, and credit to Leicester also as they’re said to have been very professional in all this, surely realising what a big opportunity this is for their manager.
I don’t know when an announcement will be made by Chelsea, whether one could come as soon as today, but it was all smoothly sailing towards a swift conclusion yesterday. I know some Chelsea fans may have their reservations over his CV but I think we have to give Maresca a chance to see what he can do with this young squad before properly judging him.
